YAYAYAY!

Right now Kevin and I are probably driving back to Detroit from Dayton (that's right driving distances on Christmas day is actually very easy, no one is on the road). But I just wanted to say Merry Christmas or happy Saturday!!! I can't wait to open my presents! :D I can't wait to share what we did over our couple days off! See you in a few!

Huggles,
Lauren

Just read your post about the story behind your blog. I found your post touching and relatable. Blogging really saved me last January when it seemed like my social life was exploding (to put it simply, I had to move out because my relationship with my roommate/best friend got too intense to bear...and it was all my fault). The blog was the one constant I had, where I could express myself without anyone interrupting and to people who would listen to me, offer good advice, and just be there for me. My blogging network helped remind me I was a good person, someone capable of being a good friend (I had been accused of the exact opposite by that ex-roomy and some of our mutual friends), it's not like I had no friends in real life at the time but my status with them was tenuous during that period, knowing that I was still loved by my blogger friends was a relief and helped strengthened my real life friendships. And I try my best to offer my blogger friends advice as well. I've gotten a lot better at listening to people and sympathizing because of blogging hence my real life friends now ask me for advice.

I'm glad that I know you Lauren, albeit virtually. Whether it's seeing how we style the same cardigan or offering our personal experiences as advice, I feel like we're real friends.Even though my relationship with blogging is growing a little more apathetic its girls like you that keep me inspired and motivated to blog. The community is just too good to give up.

P.S. There's nothing wrong with gaining self confidence through how you dress. There's a big difference between self worth through self expression of personal style vs. self worth through shopping, considering you're doing the former I don't think you need to be worried about being seen as being just another consumer. Personal style is just another form of self expression and the fact you have a personal style shows you know who you are.

Awww, you two are so adorable!! I'm excited to do the 12 days of Christmas project. I'm working until 11 tonight, so I probably won't have my first outfit up until early tomorrow morning.
