S&U On Tour } The Henry Ford

Mmmmm... Faygo Rock n Rye.

This weekend was great and sad, Mike moved out, but Jen and Matt moved in! And Mike made it to London safely, I'm jealous that he lives across from Tate Modern.... On saturday Kevin finally sold his old Monte Carlo, I was lazy and at night Pritch, Kev and I played Halo... I am very bad at video games haha!

That's one big train. Biggin'

Camping please? Yes, Hippy style.

I wish I had that many friends so we could test this bikes turn radius.

Today Kevin and I went on an adventure to the Henry Ford Museum. We decided to dress all proper like and explore in style. Kevin wore a cardigan I bought him and tie. I decided to tryout a modern industrialist style. I really liked it :D We turned some heads too. We ate in the Michigan cafe which was amazing, it had alot of local food like Faygo in glass bottles and Kevin had whitefish.

Kennedy's car... the roof was added later.

"Hey guess what I'm standing in front of?" Lauren gabbed on her iPhone, "A whole bunch of phones! How ironic!"

Kevin watches the generator spin 'round and 'round. It's pretty big, and in real life would have been going ten times the speed, it's like 150 years old too.

I'm jumping in this generator!!! You can't stop me signs!
Lauren listens to the news broadcast about the Martians taking over and Kevin practices his "Duck and Cover" skills at school

After we saw all the feats in industry we stopped back by the cafe to snack on some local ice cream. It was so yummy.

I'm in love with this color blue and this stairwell, I want them both in my bedroom.

On the way home we stopped by H&M  and Kevin got a button up shirt and some amazing olive green corduroy pants... I may steal them. So yeah... awesome day. And that last picture... Isn't Kev so cute? He thinks he looked silly wearing the hat like that. I think he looks handsome, he's such a little model.

Sorry for the heavy heavy image use on this post, Kevin and I just had so much fun and took a ton of pictures. You can see the rest here on my flickr.

Hello hello! Thank you so much for commenting on my post today. :) I'm glad we share a love for overexposed photos; although I think I might do it on purpose (instead of accidentally) once I get a DSLR.

This post was so great! Look like you two had tons of fun!

Great post Lauren, the pictures are fun and remind me of my year as an exchange student. I lived in Dearborn and went to Henry Ford Academy.

Also you both looked great - seriously loving those shorts and boots!

Too bad we didn't get to hang this weekend, you could have got to meet Jamie, I guess next time. Oh and Cider Mill hopping the 23rd? Might go out for my bday after..not sure yet.

this looks like an really fun way to spend a day and a great photo opp! the museum reminds a lot of the Smithsonian American History museum in DC because they have a whole section on transportation.

I really love how you and Sara spotlight all the cool things to do in Detroit. I think its a really under-appreciated city, but you guys show fun it is!

and you're rocking that hat!
