Think Pink
This month is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and Melissa from A Working Mom's Closet has asked bloggers to show their support in the fight about breast cancer by wearing pink. Cancer is something that is very prevalent in my family. Breast Cancer and cancer research I feel is the most important thing to figure out currently. Breast cancer is something that has affected me greatly in the past year, a family member was diagnosed and my best friend's mother in law battled the disease. Thankfully my family member made it through with surgery, yet on the other side my bf's mother in law lost her battle. Everyone has a connection to this disease and as a woman I feel obligated to show my support in the fight against breast cancer in any way I am able. Please go and see what you can do to help, and show your support by wearing pink in the month of October

Kevin got home kinda late because of traffic on thursday so we quickly gathered the dog and went for a very short walk while it was still light out. The weather has been gorgeous, and it's supposed to be awesome over weekend, I'm so excited. We first stopped by this random gate by my house that says "No Trespassing" yet as you can see, it isn't fenced in. Oh things can be funny.

So then we walked up to the train tracks, played around then went up to Main St. to go to the library. Of course we realized it was after 7p and Kevin has Capoeira at 8p so we turned around to go home.

As we crossed back to our side of the tracks and saw a train coming. I quickly grabbed some change from my purse and laid a nickle on the track, cause that's I stretch my money, haha! And then we waited. But sadly the train must've stopped cause it didn't come :( We were sad and left the nickle to get flattened without us.

Fall is coming and the colors are coming out!! I'm excited to go on a bike ride to some cidar mills this weekend and soon pumpkin picking and apples orchards and corn mazes, oh my! Yay!

Oh and this skirt I love it, I got it years ago on sale for $20 at Anthro... it has embroidery and eyelet fabric, and flowers... but it is really big on me(it was the only one), it's loose around my hips. I bought it when I was a little heavier and I wore it at hip level which is totally wrong for my body type. Belting it can be difficult because of all the excess fabric (it's over three inches too big). But this belt really helps, and it doesn't look too bad. Now I just have to finally choose to get it professionally tailored, or tailor it myself, or put it back in the closet and put off trying to make it fit. Oh but I love it so!
