Memorable Weekend

I had a very filled weekend... And it was awesome, tiresome, but awesome

Friday started off as a half day at work (even though I went into the testing center for someone's shift in the morning) but by noon I was out of the gallery and off to home. Later Friday night Kevin, our flat mate Mike, and myself went downtown for the May Critical Mass. Kev and I decided to bring Tripp along for the ride in my hiking backpack. He loved it and everyone loved him. After the ride we all (meaning like 200 people) stopped by Motor City Brewing Works for a quick drink.

Then friday night Kevin and I drove the 3.5 hours home to Dayton, OH (my place of origin) to get some rest for the next busy day.

Saturday morning we woke up dropped the dog off at my Dad's and went to Kings Island, for those of you who don't know it's an AMAZING theme park outside the Dayton/Cincinnati area. We picked up some of my wonderful friends from highschool Mary and Leah and all had a blast figuring out the new names of the rides, Cedar Point just bought the park from Paramount, so you can imagine all the branding had to change. We got a little burnt and wet and tired, but overall it was incredible.

Can you see the Charlie Brown Stripes on the Eiffel Tower? Good Grief.

Then Sunday we woke up again early and packed ourselves in the car again and drove down to Louisville, KY to visit my friend Ashley, who I met when I lived in Alaska. She had been in Florida and was visiting her family there before driving back to the great white north with her folks. She is an amazing photographer that helped me with archiving my work from Alaska and taking some amazing headshots for me. Hopefully I will see her a ton more because she's moving down to Florida!! We went to a pretty rad car show in a very cute section of Louisville then hung out around the city for the rest of the day... But boy it was soooo hot...

An AMAZING Photo Ashley took of the three of us outside a beautiful church in Louisville, you can see some photos she took of the cars here and check out some of her great photos >> http://kandipixels.zenfolio.com/beatersville2010

And then Sunday night we drove back to Dayton where we fell asleep and slept most of Monday morning... And with that adieu, I don't have anything else to write.
