I want, I inspire.

This is going to be a pretty straight forward post. These are things I want and gather inspiration from. Both art and fashion.

Diane Kruger

I think she is the prettiest actress, and of course we both have sharp features and are blonds so I really want to pull from her look and style. I don't look like the angelic, round faced, bright eyed big lipped girls in hollywood, so I shouldn't pull inspiration from them... and I don't do the messy look well, I look best pulled together. I think it's the same for her.
And come on she rides her bike, kudos. Now if only I had that body :)

Oh my I love that purple color!
I actually think I have everything for an outfit inspired by this. Just maybe won't expose my midriff.
Those pants! That bow! The hair! It's heaven!
le sigh... girl crush.

Now onto art

John Currin

I love is work, its perfect mixing traditional oil painting with a more illustrative, modern twist. droool.

Misc. Art

Andrew Hem, I think that kinda looks like me.
From the I think '82 Paris Fashion Week, we actually have this at the art gallery.

One of my favorite modern painters process, Charles Gomila
Well that was fun to do an inspire post.... maybe again. :)

I love Diane Kruger, she is so effortlessly elegant. She can never go wrong whether it be a classic lbd or something crazy she always looks well put together and chic

What a fun post :) I love seeing where people get their inspiration.

(Oh, and thank you for having a look at my blog. It's very much appreciated)

I love John Currin! Have you seen the Harper's Bazaar shoot featuring Julianne Moore in recreations of famous paintings? One of the shots is based on Currin's "The Cripple": http://www.harpersbazaar.com/magazine/cover/julianne-moore-lookbook-0508
