Out West: Day 1
Well well, sorry about the long delay in getting these posts up! I've been super busy settling into my new home in Oakland, painting rooms, cleaning, organizing... So here's a quick post to start my travel photos!
Well as you can see there was nothing too exciting about day 1, Lee and I drove for over 12 hours to make it to the tip top of Iowa just outside of South Dakota. While driving we encountered a narly thunderstorm and had to pull off the highway... the lightening was crazy! It was spreading itself over the ceiling of the storm... and soooo bright! Anyway, there's tons of pictures coming in the next few posts, beware!!!

Yeah, that thundar storm was epic. It came by the night of my housewarming and knocked a power line down, which started a fire. Then a tree fell on the house next to ours, and a light pole fell down the street. Everyone lost power but us because we are on Oak Parks grid and not Ferndale's. It was awesome.
looking forward to seeing the new place when its all finished
Tripp was clearly the star of the day :-)
