Rescuers Down Under

I loved that movie growing up!

Well I'm sad to see this dress go home, but Ebony needs it! It's summer down there. So in the morning I took some pictures of how I would wear it if I was going to the beach. Minimal clothing, haha. And then got ready for work and the harsh reality... It's cold outside.

Sadface.

I mean sad bow.

Yeah and camera angle in wonky I know cause I just propped the camera up on books... mountains of books!

Busy Bee

Well even though Kevin has been out of town I've been busy and stressed. Studying for GRE vocabulary makes my head spin... I really dislike analogies and antonyms. Grrr... See I look angry in most my pictures ;) But I did manage to run everyday for few days now and stretch. And to top that off, do you know how many places are already booked for next summer in terms of wedding reception. And of course I will probably have a pretty big wedding... Kevin's catholic... haha they have huge families :)

Anyway here are some pictures I shot last night. Not the best, and pretty wrinkly, but man I really don't have time. I do love this pic with Tripp and my Owl bank that Joe gave me. My first birthday present I got this year! haha.

Oh and you ladies that want to do the 12 days of xmas, I will be emailing you soon about it! So excited.

Birthday Faygo

In 1907 two brothers from Russia moved to Detroit to start their new lives and become business men. They carried with them family cake frosting recipes and tried to make it big, but were unsuccessful. Only until they created three sodas, strawberry, grape and fruit punch, and named their pop, Faygo.

Now Faygo has a stigma on it for being cheap... because well it is. And it kinda goes flat quickly. That was what I thought until I had it in a glass bottle. I'm sure this was the original taste, and made with cane sugar it takes you back to Detroit turn of the century. And it is soooo yummy.

On sunday for my birthday I walked to the market and bought a six pack of Faygo Rock & Rye in glass. It's my treat. No cake, but I have sweet Faygo goodness.

Look at all those books I've been reading through! haha.

Twelve Days of Christmas

I really wanted to do a project based off of something to pull inspiration from so I think with the holidays and everything using the twelve days of christmas would be a perfect start.

The twelve days of christmas start on either Christmas day or the day after the 26th, and goes for 12 days until Epiphany (or three kings day) on the 5th or 6th. I've decided I'm going to try to do outfits inspired by each day and post them on the corresponding days.

I'd love for more people to get involved. You don't have to do everyday but if you have an awesome idea for 5 golden rings or 12 drummers drumming then take a picture and tell me about your blog post or send me the picture, and I'll also post yours. So what do you think? Sounds fun? I think it'll also be good because I know I will be spotty with posting at the holidays but this way I will have photos for you!

Here are the dates:
Dec 26th - A partrigde in a pear tree
Dec 27th - 2 turtle doves
Dec 28th - 3 french hens
Dec 29th - 4 calling birds
Dec 30th - 5 gold rings
Dec 31st - 6 geese a laying
Jan 1st - 7 swans a swimming
Jan 2nd - 8 maids a milking
Jan 3rd - 9 ladies dancing
Jan 4th - 10 lords a leaping
Jan 5th - 11 pipers piping
Jan 6th - 12 drummers drumming

Here's wikipedia with a little info on the 12 days of christmas, and the twelfth night that I found interesting. > http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twelve_Days_of_Christmas

I hope you join me :)

Happy Birthday & Anniversary

Edit: So I got Kevin's computer working, yay!

So yeah I'm 25 today... so old, haha not really. I can't believe it. This weekend was pretty uneventful Kevin left this morning to go to Conneticut for business stuff, so yesterday was filled with packing. Today consisted of some video games, studying for the GRE (ack I really hate vocabulary), writing, and most of all stressing. The Faygo did help it a bit. So here are some cute and not so cute pictures of me to celebrate a quarter of a century.

Me and my grandma (who I look like)
My sisters and Grandma Peggy
The three Knapp nose generations, me, my mom, and grandma
Aw Freckles our Dalmation!
How cute was I?
When I thought I was a cool highschooler
ALSO, yesterday was the 5 year anniversary of Kevin and my first date. It was a total disaster but ended up being really fun and a great story. He took me to an independent movie theater to watch a docementary (so artsy haha), well we got there and the theater was closed as in shut down. But their were people in there so we knocked. They were Christian mimes practicing scenes from the bible for a show they were putting on. So then we drove around in his astro van, through scary east side of Detroit. Ended up in Greek town and had an awful meal. No offense but Greek food and me don't get along. Then ended the night at my condo where he proceeded to give me a kiss goodnight but tripped over the shoes in the entry and feel into me. Yep. Our second date was even funnier when he was trying to make fun of Creed and ended up falling on his face. It was the examples of how our relationship would end up being. Very silly and odd.

One of our first times out, I fell in a snow drift and puked out his car... hahah
