Well before this announcement I just wanted to say that I'm stuck at home because my car doors are frozen shut... And it's -8 degrees. Yeah and it took Kevin over three hours to get to work... He was stuck on one of the highway ramps for over 30 minutes. And I guess a woman spun out infront of him, and there were tons of people stuck in ditches. I hope everyone got to work ok and safe, but really, if roads are that bad then we shouldn't force people to be in danger and go to work. It's just a job! Oh well. Glad it doesn't look like anyone was hurt, just took forever for him to get to work.

When I turn 100 & Art Shows

When I turn 100 & Art Shows

Onto the clothes. Last week I helped hang the "Our Town" exhibit in the Birmingham Community House. It's a yearly show featuring Michigan artists and jurors go around after it's hung and give out ribbons and such. Since I helped hang the show I was able to attend the opening which was super swanky. So Kevin, Jen, and I dressed up and rubbed elbows with rich people while we got free food and drinks.






Later we went around the old house and took pictures of us posing with art like it was ours.





We felt that this hallway deserved a picture in homage to the Shining, I mean really can't you see the twins "Come play with us."

It was pretty fun.

Luckily I have clothes in my car at all times so I went and grabbed this good ole' skirt. I really like how Nautical this outfit ended up looking and how 70's the other one looked. Eh, clothes change as the day does.

I love this blouse, I got it on etsy from Action Is The Fruit on sale! I love it! It has a cute little tie detail. She has some great stuff!! And her daily outfit blog is great! A Thought is the Blossom, check her out! I want all the new dresses she listed!

I also passed the blouse over the Sara to style, can't wait to see what she does! :)

My first giveaway! I'm excited!

So as you can see I'm giving away some art prints! They are prints of my own oil paintings from a series I did on animal interaction and humans in the form of fashion. Most all of my art centers around females and animal counterparts in some type of interaction. I'm very environmentally conscious and have been most all my life, and my art features many of my thoughts on the way we treat ourselves compared to our fellow animals.

They are giclee prints (archival ink on archival paper) and a watercolor somerset velvet paper. It's a thicker stock and feels great between your fingers. The prints are 6.5 x 7.5 on approx 7.5 x 9 paper (I trim them so it may be a little off) All prints are signed and printed by me!
