And now the dirndl...
{ Scarf } Target maybe?
{ Dirndl } Vintage/Remade
{ Blouse/Jacket } Target
{ Belt } Anthropologie
{ Socks } My drawer
{ Shoes } Lucky Penny via Anthropologie
{ Dog } PetfinderI wore this out on a morning walk on Sunday with Kevin, we went and got some coffee and watched people start to gather for the festival. I was trying the whole socks and oxfords look but considering that I kinda have chubby legs I don't think it looks to great on me. But oh well it's always fun to try new things.
Here are some more pictures from the walk, you've got Kev and the International Harvester Scout that I WANT!! But again sadly it's floor boards are rusted out and not worth what they were asking for. Kev took it for a spin in the beginning of the summer. But look how great Tripp looks with the car... tear
When we got home I immediately changed into work clothes and cleaned the windows outside and the front porch. They aren't sparkly clean but as close as they will ever be. I also hung up some pictures and did ALL the laundry. We had no dirty clothes, sheets, or towels that evening... amazing!
Also back to the Dirndl. What do you think? Do you like the full length metal zipper as a contrast? I also took off a lot of silly lace ribbon stuff that was hiding the seams on the bodice. And if you look closely you may seem to see some white stitching poking out in places. Ignore that, I was excited and didn't have navy thread till the next day :) Also ignore the wave that the zipper makes... sewing zippers on is hard.
that drindl is fantastic, man, I want one! they're so cute and yours is well paired with the socks and red flats!
ReplyDeleteWow, what a cute dress! Looks fab, I wish I could alter clothes x
ReplyDeletei want one and you two should visit the true Oktoberfest of Zinzinnati!
ReplyDeleteI think it looks amazing! I had to do something similar with an H&m dress that I really wanted and ended up with an US size 14, basically double of what I wear, but I just fixed it up and no one can tell!
ReplyDeleteYAY you did a great job! :) Tripp looks so cute sitting there like "What's going on?"
ReplyDeletePS- I am SICK :( but I am not blaming you since I barely saw you when you were sick.
I really like it, you did a fab job! So glad you found one and was able to alter it so that it became exactly what you were after.
ReplyDeleteAlso I like the socks and shoes ;)
